The OSGi Enterprise Expert Group (EEG) is chartered to define the technical requirements and specifications to tailor and extend the OSGi Service Platform to address information technology software infrastructure use cases found in enterprise business scenarios.

The EEG was announced on August 9th 2006, following a significant uptake in the use and interest in using OSGi in the Enterprise.

An inaugural OSGi Alliance Enterprise Workshop was held in San Jose, California on September 11th 2006. Co-Chairs of the EEG have been announced as Tim Diekmann (Siemens) and Eric Newcomer (IONA ).
